I do know what it’s like. That’s why I voted for Obama as well.
It’s like we are living the same life.
--------------------------------------
I damn know how it feels too and it ain't pleasant. I feel so ashamed, taking privilege of such an amazing thing...the NHS + free education :(

Thank You ^^
It wasn't anything special anyway, all I did was turn 1908!
Now let me go and read the second half of the blog but at the moment, I think that McCain is the exact twin of Bush with all his pesky policies and everything so thank God for Obama but there is only so much he can do before he realizes the state of power that he's in and then, well we all know what happens then, all hell sets loose!

Aww well thanks :) I like writing them...

I just have a few comments. A really good friend of mine is openly gay. He's been in a 25 year relationship with his first lover. Recently I took a trip with him to Chicago and I said "You know I have no problem with gay people but why do some of them have to be so out there?" This was his response:

Society created this notion that being "straight" for men listed a bunch of "manly" or "masculine" qulaities. Growing up and acting a certain way was suppose to be a way of distinguishing the sexes. Being "gay" groups people together who are just being themselves. Look at it this way, if someone were to come to school with bright orange hair, people would call them weird. Why do you choose to wear the clothes you wear? Is it because you really like them? Or is it because you feel that you have to in order to stand out at NOT standing out. You can't assume that someone is one thing and that another is another thing.

Being "gay" doesn't come with a list of qualities that someone must obey and I'm sure people know that. The same goes for being straight. You can have a straight guy who likes watching Lifetime movies (I'm guilty :P) and you can have a gay guy who enjoys video games and monster trucks.

There is a Personality Disorder known as "Histrionic Personality Disorder". Here are a list of the symptoms:
1. overly dramatic, attention seeking behavior
2. Express emotions in an exaggerated fashion
3. very concerned with appearance and often behave seductively, flirtatiously
4. tend to hve shallow relationships
5. act in stereotypical hyper-feminine or hyper-masculine ways because they believe this will elicit admiration from others
6. emotionally shalow despite strong displays of emotion.

This is a real disorder that people suffer from. The causes are unknown but theories point to a lifetime of self repression. My good friend does not act like this and he is gay. In society, being gay usually forces people to repress who they really are and as a result something bad occurs.

oh and by the way, the word "marriage" is rooted from a religious term, but politically, it's for equal spousal rights such as insurance, tax benefits, etc. Don't get me wrong, people want to be able to call whomever they love "husband" or "wife" but when we start to say who can and can't call their sig. other's these things, we are forcing them to say how they are is wrong. I believe it is the equivalent of saying women can't vote or African Americans are inferior. The whole debate is stupid.

I agree with many things, especially about obama.
Although with the gay marriage, I don't really think it's right for them to be called 'married' or a 'marriage'
the definition : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife.
I dont have a problem with gay people at all i just get tired of all of the parades with men wearing thongs and acting like women flaunting it like it's so special that they are gay whereas straight people don't, but straight people do some weird things too anways....
to be absolutely honest I have some gay friends they are the nicest people I have ever known but what gets on my nerves is when a guy talks like a girl and act's gay because it's 'cool'.
But there are truly some people that are honestly feel like a boy trapped in a woman's body or the other way.

That's my opinion I guess heh.

I really enjoy reading your interesting blogs :)
